Analysis on Methods and Effect of Cultural Introduction in College English Teaching

Abstract
This study explores methods and effectiveness of cultural integration in college English teaching, aiming to enhance students' intercultural communication competence and comprehensive language literacy. Through systematic analysis of three implementation approaches-explicit instruction, implicit immersion, and interactive practice-the research reveals the positive role of cultural integration in deepening language comprehension and cultivating cultural awareness. The findings indicate that effective cultural integration can promote the coordinated development of language proficiency and cultural consciousness. However, current teaching practices still face challenges such as fragmented content and monotonous methods. Based on these findings, the study proposes optimization suggestions including establishing a systematic cultural teaching framework, integrating diverse teaching methods, and strengthening teacher-student interaction. It emphasizes that cultural integration should balance target language culture with local culture, achieving an organic unity of instrumental education and humanistic education. This provides theoretical references and practical guidance for cultivating globally competent English professionals.
