Abstract
With the growing awareness of safety and the rapid increase in the number of automobiles, the riding environment for motorcyclists has become increasingly hazardous, posing significant threats to their safety. Consequently, the protective role of clothing for riders has gained greater importance. This paper employs methods such as market research and experimental analysis to study the impact resistance of fabrics made from nylon-spandex and polyester-spandex blends. The research focuses on fabrics with varying raw materials, structures, and densities. Experimental results indicate that the impact resistance of nylon-spandex fabrics exceeds that of polyester-spandex fabrics. Rib knit fabrics show superior impact resistance compared to plain knit fabrics, and the thicker the fabric, the stronger its impact resistance. These findings provide valuable insights and references for the production of impact-resistant apparel.
