Abstract
Information Security is an elective course for students majoring in Data Science and Big Data Technology. It plays a significant role in enhancing students' technical competence in computer information security and fostering their professional ethics, while also serving as an effective vehicle for promoting the educational goal of cultivating virtue and talent and strengthening public awareness of overall national security. By highlighting the necessity of integrating values education into the Information Security curriculum, this paper proposes a feasible teaching approach. Teaching experience has shown that incorporating values education into every stage of Information Security instruction helps improve students' legal awareness and overall quality.
